Abstract: Cognitive processes underlying the experiential facet of GESP are described. Distortions of the ESP "aessage" are presumed to reflect different stages of processing of the latent target representation. The preferred Banner in which target-related representations appear to the conscious mind is defined as the percipient's psi-experiential style. Given differences in psi-experiential style and meaningfulness no universally "good" free-response target can be defined. Investigation of the cognitive processes underlying the goal-oriented character of psi is rather suggested.
